What ReaderMagnet does
ReaderMagnet brings independent authors together with readers who like to read a book before it comes out. An author lists an advance review copy (an ARC) and shares a private campaign page, and readers who enjoy that genre can claim a copy. Readers pay nothing. Authors get a simple way to hand out early copies without juggling download links, spreadsheets and a separate mailing tool.
The platform grew out of the tools many authors already patch together: a file delivery service, an email list, a book link page and a spreadsheet of who got what. ReaderMagnet keeps ARC management, beta reads, universal book links, a referral engine and an email sequence builder in one place, so a launch can live in one dashboard instead of five open tabs.
How it works for readers
You sign up with your name, your email and the genres you like. From there you browse open copies and upcoming titles and claim the ones that interest you. Copies usually arrive as ePub or PDF files, which open on a Kindle, phone, tablet or computer. Every copy is watermarked with the reader's name and email and is meant for that reader alone, so please do not share the file or the private link with anyone.
Writing a review is optional. If you do post one, it should be honest, and whatever rating you actually mean is fine. ReaderMagnet does not choose readers for authors, does not assign you a book, and never asks for a particular star rating.
How it works for authors
You list your book, set up its campaign page, and decide what to offer: a full ARC, a beta read, or a reader magnet such as a short story for your newsletter. The readers who claim a copy are people who chose your genre on their own. You can see claims on the campaigns you host here. ReaderMagnet does not make up a quality score and does not promise sales.
Pricing in plain terms
ReaderMagnet is in open beta, and every feature is free, with no credit card, until January 1, 2027. After the beta, author plans are listed on the pricing page: Starter at $9 a month, Pro at $19 a month and Publisher at $49 a month, with lower rates when billed annually. Readers stay free.

Honest reviews are the only kind worth having. We do not publish instructions for deceptive reviews, fabricated reader activity or guaranteed results, and we do not reward readers for giving positive ratings. You can find the full rules on our honest review policy page.
