DMCA Notice & Takedown Policy

ReaderMagnet, operated by Taciturn Studios LLC, respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our platform to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (17 U.S.C. § 512) ("DMCA"), we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement committed using our service.

1. Designated Copyright Agent

To submit a DMCA takedown notice, please contact our designated copyright agent:

2. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that content on ReaderMagnet infringes your copyright, please provide our designated agent with a written notice containing all of the following information (required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act on their behalf.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. If multiple works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.
  3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material (e.g., a URL).
  4. Your contact information, including your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate, and that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Note: Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be subject to liability for damages.

3. Counter-Notification

If you believe that content you posted was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to our designated agent. Your counter-notification must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that has been removed or disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which ReaderMagnet may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original takedown notice.

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action within 10–14 business days, we may restore the removed material at our discretion.

4. Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable law, Taciturn Studios LLC has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. We may also, at our sole discretion, limit access to the site and/or terminate the accounts of any users who infringe any intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement.

5. Safe Harbor Statement

ReaderMagnet qualifies for the DMCA safe harbor protections under 17 U.S.C. § 512 as a service provider that stores material at the direction of users. We do not have actual knowledge of infringing material, do not receive a financial benefit directly attributable to infringing activity, and act expeditiously to remove or disable access to infringing material upon receiving proper notice.
