ReaderMagnet helps independent authors list a book, share a private advance-reader-copy page, and grow an email list. Readers can browse free advance copies. The public site is https://readermagnet.com. Published author bylines on this site use the name C. V. Wooster where the operator is named as an author.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Name and email when you create an account, list a book, request an ARC, or contact us
• Messages you send through the contact form, support email, or on-site chat
• Quiz or onboarding answers you choose to submit
• Payment details processed by Stripe when you subscribe — we do not store full card numbers

• Browser, device, and approximate location derived from IP address
• Pages viewed, referring URLs, and basic usage timestamps
• Cookie-consent choices you save
• Advertising and analytics identifiers when you consent to those cookies

3. How we use information

• Provide ARC pages, reader access links, and author dashboards
• Send transactional email you requested (magic links, download access, account notices)
• Send marketing email only when you have opted in
• Respond to support requests
• Improve the site and keep it secure
• Show advertising on editorial and content pages through Google AdSense
• Comply with law

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your data for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Those companies process data under their own policies. We do not reconnect retired third-party hosts or unpublished personal mailboxes.

7. How long we keep data

Account and campaign data stay while the account is active and as needed for support or legal records. Waitlist or marketing addresses stay until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Analytics data is kept up to 26 months. Chat transcripts used for support quality are kept no longer than needed for that purpose.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or an objection to legitimate-interest processing, and you may withdraw consent. Email privacy@readermagnet.com. We aim to respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

9. Security and international transfers

We use HTTPS, access controls, and least-privilege practices. No internet transmission is perfectly secure. The service is operated from the United States. If you are in the EEA or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required.

10. On-site chat

If you use the optional chat assistant, your messages are processed to generate a reply and may be retained for quality and product improvement. Chat transcripts are not sold. You can ask us to delete chat data. A consent notice appears before the first chat.

11. Children

The service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy. The date at the top is the latest revision. Material changes will be posted on this page.
